The thief looks around

And sees many thieves

A gesture of greeting

Is interpreted

An attempt to

To cheat him of his possession

Which poses the question

What do you really see?

Is it truth or just your reality?

What’s the difference?

You lay out your insecurities

In the theatre of nightmares

Leaving your worst fears

Centre stage

But that’s your story,

That’s your business,

Don’t project that onto me.
